Living Object is glad to announce a forthcoming exhibition 23-25 October 2020, Of Time and Place. This exhibition opens a dialogue for artists to express their responses to the Covid 19 epidemic. It asks how enforced restrictions have led to heightened awareness of immediate surroundings since the epidemic started. It opens a space for dialogue around virtual experience and new relationships formed during lockdown.
The design of the exhibition is inspired by the architect and exhibition designer Frederick Kiesler’s concept of 'elastic space'. Kiesler was fascinated by the way in which theatre and exhibitions dissolve temporal and spatial boundaries. Of Time and Place will expand the concept of 'elastic space' by using modern virtual tools to expand the physical space of the Living Object gallery.
